Paving the way for patient care using coronary CT! Charité, Discharge, CAD-Man and SCOT-HEART studies

Based on the CAD-Man and DISCHARGE studies coordinated by us at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the SCOT-HEART study, the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG) prepared the evidence report on coronary CT for the G-BA last year. The G-BA has now used this evidence as the basis for its decision to transfer coronary CT to standard care. The supporting reasons have now also been published.

This is an incredible success for Charité Berlin’s radiology department and an honor for the close cooperation with other institutions in Germany and Europe. Prof. Marc Dewey would also like to thank everyone for their support of CAD-Man and DISCHARGE Extend and is looking forward to the joint implementation.
