Congratulations to Prof. Dewey! A great honor was bestowed upon him: the honorary doctorate of the prestigious Semmelweis University in Hungary.

This dignity is awarded only on the basis of internationally recognized scientific work and activities for the benefit of the University in disciplines that entitle Semmelweis University to award the doctoral degree

By the way, one of the first persons to receive this honor was Rudolf Virchow, one of the greatest German personalities in medicine. The founder of cellular pathology received an honorary doctorate in 1895.
