Three-dimensional analysis of cardiac function by CT in diastole (left) and systole (right). From JACC.
Many tests are available to evaluate cardiac function, yet which is best? This study published in JACC by Charité researchers compared CT, Catheterization, Echocardiography in 2D and 3D and MRI for cardiac function. It was shown that CT was as accurate as MRI for cardiac function assessment, which has relevant implications for clinical practice and patients with suspected or known cardiac diseases.
